Confirmation is one of the three Sacraments of Initiation into the catholic church is normally celebrated in our Parish when children are in Year 6, and we try to celebrate this around Pentecost Sunday each year. It provides an opportunity for our children as they mature, to re-commit to the faith their parents entrusted at the time of their baptism. Like each of our Sacramental programs, the time of Confirmation provides parents with an opportunity to refresh their own understanding and commitment to their own faith, and so parents play an integral role in the preparation of their children.
Our program includes a parents' reflection evening, three evenings with parents, children and group leaders and a reflection day for the whole group together.
