Cardinal Freeman Village is an integral part of our parish here at St. Vincent\'s. Father Norm Cassidy, a Vincentian priest is the resident chaplain of the Village.
A strong sense of community spirit and neighbourhood pride are evident within Cardinal Freeman Village. Set on 10 acres in the inner western suburb of Ashfield, Cardinal Freeman is a well planned village framed by beautifully landscaped and maintained gardens. A ?centrepiece? of our village is one of Sydney?s most historic and beautiful buildings, Glentworth House, which is classified by the National Trust of Australia. And not far from this central location is a vibrant shopping hub and busy local community.
Established in 1977, Cardinal Freeman has been developed in stages, and is now able to cater for 350 residents. We provide accommodation styles to meet all needs, ranging from studio, one and two bedroom apartments, smaller serviced apartments, through to low care hostel rooms. We also operate a 59 bed nursing home.
Our residents? peace of mind is essential, and Cardinal Freeman is operated by experienced and caring staff who take care of the day-to-day operation of the village. The village features a range of leisure and recreational facilities, in addition to extra services which provide ongoing care, ensuring our residents are able to live comfortably in retirement and enjoy their new lifestyle.
